(54) JAR SUITABLE FOR CONTAINING A SOLID, LIQUID OR PASTY PRODUCT.
FR 3 056 387 - A1 (5j) Pot (100) comprising a body (10) having a cavity having an opening (11b), and a cover (20) movable relative to the body (10). The body (10) comprises an engagement element (14e) and the cover (20) comprises a closure tab (70) movable between an engaged position in which, when the cover (20) is in a closed position in which the cover closes the opening, the closing tab (70) cooperates with the engagement element (14e) and thus maintains the cover (20) in the closed position, and a released position in which the closing tab (70) does not cooperate with the engagement element (14e). The pot comprises a locking tab (42), movable between a locked position in which it blocks the closing tab (70) in the engaged position, and an unlocked position in which the closing tab (70) is movable between the position engaged and the position released.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present description relates to a pot, and more particularly a pot capable of containing a solid, liquid or pasty product. Such a jar can be used in particular for packaging cosmetic products.
TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND
We know, for example from international publication WO 2005/039349, a jar comprising a body having a cavity capable of containing a solid, liquid or pasty product, the cavity having an opening, and a cover movable relative to the body, a first element among the body and the cover comprising an engagement element, a second element among the body and the cover comprising a closing tab movable between an engaged position in which, when the cover is in a closed position in which the cover closes the opening, the closing tab cooperates with the engagement element and thus keeps the cover in the closed position, and a released position in which the closing tab does not cooperate with the engagement element, so as to allow movement of the cover relative to the body.
In the pot disclosed in WO 2005/039349, the engagement element and the closure tab take the form of two hooks that can engage with each other. The closing tab is rigidly connected to a lateral push button, so that a pressure exerted on the push button moves the closing tab from the engaged position to the released position, thus allowing the lid to be opened. The push button is recalled by a spring.
In such a jar, the engagement of the closure tab in the engagement element is unreliable and the jar can open unexpectedly, thus spilling its contents.
The invention aims at least to partially remedy this drawback and to provide a jar for which the maintenance in the closed position is more reliable.
PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION
This object is achieved thanks to the fact that the jar comprises a locking tab, movable between a locked position in which the locking tab blocks the closing tab in the engaged position, and an unlocked position in which the closing tab is movable between the engaged position and the released position, and an actuator configured to move the locking tab between the locked position and the unlocked position.
In the locked position, the locking tab blocks the closing tab in the engaged position. Thus, no untimely movement of the closing tab is allowed, whereby the closing tab cooperates effectively with the engagement element and keeps the cover in the closed position reliably. The shutter position corresponds to the situation in which the jar is closed.
In some embodiments, the second member includes the locking tab. The closure tab and the locking tab are therefore provided on the same element among the body and the cover. Their cooperation is thus facilitated.
In certain embodiments, the closure tab is movable in rotation. Compared to a slip, a rotation causes little friction, which reduces the wear of the parts.
In certain embodiments, the pot comprises return means configured to return the closure tab to the released position. Thus, when the closure tab is blocked by the locking tab, it is stationary independently of the return means and remains in the engaged position. On the other hand, when the locking tab is in the unlocked position and no longer blocks the closing tab, the closing tab is moved by the return means in the released position. The opening of the pot is thus facilitated.
The return means can be an elastic element such as a spring, a magnet, or any element capable of exerting a return force.
In certain embodiments, the pot comprises a stop piece and in the released position, the closing tab is in abutment against said stop piece. The stroke of the closing tab is therefore precisely delimited. As a result, the size of the closure tab taking into account its different positions remains limited.
In certain embodiments, the locking tab is rigidly linked to the actuator. Its actuation is therefore reliable, since a movement of the actuator directly results in a movement of the locking tab.
In some embodiments, the closure tab includes a lug configured to cooperate with the locking tab. The presence of a lug makes the cooperation between the locking tab and the closing tab more precise.
In certain embodiments, the actuator is a push button movable in translation. In particular, when the locking tab is rigidly linked to the actuator, the locking tab is movable in translation in the direction of translation of the actuator.
The push button can be located in the second element, that is to say in the same element, among the body and the cover, as the closure tab.
A return element such as a spring can be configured to return the push button to its rest position after actuation.
In certain embodiments, the push button comprises a support wall and a sliding wall substantially perpendicular to the support wall, the locking tab being formed on the sliding wall. The support wall is the wall intended to receive a support force aimed at actuating the push button. The sliding wall can define the direction in which the push button slides when a force is exerted transversely to the support wall.
In certain embodiments, the pot further comprises a base, the push button cooperating with the base by a cam with a heart path. The heart path cam will be presented in more detail later. In this way, the push button is movable between two stable positions. If a return element tends to move the push button away from the base, the passage of the push button between the two stable positions is effected by pressing the push button, if necessary on the support wall.
In certain embodiments, the push button comprises a skirt cooperating with a skirt of the base. For example, the skirts can cooperate by sliding against each other when the push button is translated relative to the base. The presence of such skirts limits the resonance caused by the movement of the push button.
In some embodiments, the first member is the body and the second member is the cover. The mechanism for opening the pot, comprising in particular the closing tab and possibly the actuator, is therefore housed in the cover.
In certain embodiments, the first element and the second element are articulated with respect to each other, for example by means of a hinge.
In some embodiments, the cover further includes a seal. The seal can be located along the opening. The seal thus seals between the opening and the cover which, in the closed position, closes the opening.
In certain embodiments, the actuator is configured to compress the seal, in particular axially, when the locking tab is or passes into the locked position. Compression can be carried out indirectly, by a part actuated by the actuator. Thus, the passage of the locking tab in the locked position and the corresponding locking of the pot is accompanied by a sealing of the cavity thanks to the corresponding actuation, simultaneous or not, of the seal.
In addition, the actuator can be configured to leave the seal at rest when the locking tab is in the unlocked position.
More generally, the seal can be configured to provide a seal on a surface normal to its direction of compression.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The structure of a pot according to a first embodiment of the invention will be detailed with reference to Figures 1 to 4.
As indicated above, FIG. 1 represents in section a pot 100 comprising a body 10 and a cover 20 movable relative to the body 10. In the present embodiment, the body 10 acts as the first element within the meaning of the invention, while the cover 20 acts as a second element. However, the reverse can also be achieved. In the rest of this presentation, without loss of generality and for the sake of clarity, we will only refer to the body 10 and the cover 20 and not to the first and second elements.
The body 10 has a cavity capable of containing a solid, liquid or pasty product 12, the cavity having an opening. In this case, the body comprises a covering 10a in which is disposed a tank 11. The tank 11 comprises a rim 11a and opens on the opening 11b (see FIG. 2A).
The cover 20 can be positioned in a closed position in which the cover 20 closes the opening 11b. The pot 100 is then considered closed. This is the position shown in FIG. 1. The body 10 also includes a plate 14 comprising a peripheral portion 14a, here substantially annular, and a shoulder 14b provided radially inside the peripheral portion 14a. By "substantially annular" is meant a substantially continuous shape which can be substantially circular, elliptical, oval or the like. The shoulder 14b projects from the peripheral portion 14a in the direction of the opening 11b.
The plate 14 further comprises indexing elements 14d (see FIG. 2B) intended to cooperate with corresponding indexing elements 10d (see FIG. 2A) provided on the covering 10a, for positioning and fixing the plate 14 on the covering 10a.
As illustrated in FIG. 1, the rim 11a of the tank 11 is in abutment on the shoulder 14b of the plate 14, so that the tank is suspended in the covering 10a. The tank 11 is configured to contain the solid, liquid or pasty product 12.
Optionally, the body 10 can include a cover
18. As shown in FIG. 1, the cover 18 is intended to close the opening 11b so as to protect the product 12. The cover 18 can bear on the rim 11a of the tank 11, for example on a shoulder meant for that purpose.
The cover 20 comprises a base 30 and a push button 40. The cover 20, here more precisely the base 30, may comprise a hinge 32 for the articulation of the cover 20 with the body 10. In the present case, the hinge 32 comprises hinges 32a and a masking part 32b. The hinges 32a are configured to receive rods 17. Furthermore, the rods 17 are configured to be inserted in hinge supports 15 provided on the wafer 14. Thus, the articulation of the hinges 32a relative to the hinge supports 15 forms a hinge. The hinge thus formed is movable in rotation about the axis defined by the rods 17.
The hinge supports 15 protrude from the peripheral portion 14a towards the interior of the covering 10a. The plate 14 includes an orifice 14c provided for the insertion of the hinge 32, which makes it possible to align the hinge 32 with the hinge supports 15. The masking part 32b is configured to mask the orifice 14c and the hinges 32a , especially when the pot 100 is in the open position. To this end, the masking part 32b is offset relative to the rods 17 defining the pivot axis of the hinge 32, in the direction of the side from which the pot 100 opens.
The hinges 32a are configured to receive a return element, in this case a spring 16. In the present case, as illustrated in FIG. 2A, the hinges 32a include a thinned part around which the spring 16 is housed. The spring 16 is mounted in torsion between the hinges 32a and the hinge supports 15. Thus, the spring 16 forms return means configured to return the cover 20 to the open position of the pot 100, that is to say to move the cover away 20 from its closed position relative to the body 10.
The base 30 cooperates with a push button 40. The push button 40 comprises a support wall 41a and a sliding wall 41b substantially perpendicular to the support wall 41a. The push button 40, and more particularly the support wall 41a, gives on the outside of the cover 20. As indicated above and as illustrated in FIG. 3, a locking tab 42 is formed on the sliding wall 41b. The locking tab 42 will be described in detail below.
The push button 40 also includes protrusions 44 able to cooperate with guides 34 of the base 30. In this case, the protrusions 44 are rods whose cross section is a cross. In this example, the guides 34 are hollow cylinders whose internal diameter is equal to or slightly less than the width of the cross section. Here, the base 30 comprises two guides 34 and the push button 40 comprises two corresponding protrusions 44. The protrusions 44 are configured to be inserted into the guides 34 so as to form a slide link configured to guide the push button 40 relative to the base 30.
Furthermore, the base 30 and the push button 40 include respective skirts 35, 45, configured to cooperate so as to form a slide connection. The skirt 35 of the base 30 projects towards the push button 40. The skirt 45 of the push button 40 projects towards the base 30. In the present embodiment, the skirts 35, 45 are cylindrical. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the radially external surface of the skirt 45 of the push button 40 slides along the radially internal surface of the skirt 35 of the base 30. The cooperation of the skirts 35, 45 makes it possible to attenuate the vibrations and resonance due to the movement of the push button 40 relative to the base 30.
In addition, as can be seen from FIG. 3, the push button 40 comprises first slide elements 46, in this case three first slide elements 46. There could be more or less first slide elements 46. The first elements slide 46 protrude towards the base 30. The distal end of the first slide elements 46 is provided with a shoulder 46a forming a stop. As illustrated in FIG. 5, the shoulder 46a also has a shape allowing it to be assembled by snap-fastening with the second slide elements 66 which will be described later.
The push button 40 and the base 30 cooperate by relative translation relative to one another. In other words, the push button 40 is movable in translation, in this case in the direction in which the sliding wall 41b extends, here perpendicular to the support wall 41a. The direction of translation of the push button 40 is denoted X in FIG. 1 and corresponds to the axis of the cover 20. In the present embodiment, the axis of the cover X is in the vertical direction when the pot 100 is closed and in its normal use position, namely when the opening 11b gives upwards. Unless otherwise indicated, the axial, radial and transverse directions will be given below with respect to the axis of the cover X.
The base 30 and the push button 40 cooperate by a heart path cam. To this end, the base comprises at least one cam arm 38, here two (see FIG. 2A). The cam arms 38 are located radially inside the skirt 35. The push button 40 comprises at least one core path 48, here two (see FIG. 3). The core paths 48 are located radially inside the skirt 45. In addition, a return element - here taking the form of a spring 54 mounted in compression between the base 30 and the push button 40, in this case inside the skirts 35, 45 - tends to push the push button 40 of the base 30. The operation of the heart-path cam will be detailed later.
The cover 20 further comprises a ring 50. In this embodiment, the ring 50 is substantially annular. The ring 50 forms the lateral external periphery of the cover 20. As can be seen in FIG. 1, the sliding wall 41b of the push button 40 slides along the radially inner surface of the ring 50.
The ring 50 includes notches 52 (see FIG. 2A) making it possible to fix the ring 50 on the base 30 by snap-fastening. The sliding wall 41b is able to come into abutment against the notches 52. The notches 52 are here arranged inside the ring 50, along a circumference. It is possible to provide a single notch 52 or several notches 52. In the case of a single notch, this notch 52 must be interrupted at least to allow the passage of the locking tab 42 which, as seen in the figure 1, protrudes from the sliding wall 41b beyond the notches 52.
The cover 20 further comprises an insert 60. The insert 60 comprises an insert body 62 from which a rail 64 projects. The rail 64, as well as possibly the insert body 62, has a shape, in cross section at the axis of the cover X, which substantially matches the shape of the opening 11b. In addition, the insert 60 includes second slide elements 66, here three second slide elements 66. There could be more or less second slide elements 66. The second slide elements 66 protrude towards the push button 40. The distal end of the second slide elements 66 is provided with a shoulder 66a forming a stop and, as we have seen previously, configured to allow its snap-on assembly with the first slide elements 46.
The second slide elements 66 are able to cooperate with the first slide elements 46 already described. Their complementary shape allowing their relative translation is clearly visible in Figure 1. Although the push button 40 and the insert 60 are located on either side of the base 30, windows 36 formed in the base 30 (see Figure 2A ), in line with the first and second slide elements 46, 66, allow the first and second slide elements 46, 66 to come into contact and cooperate.
The first and second slide elements 46, 66 define by their cooperation a translational travel of the push button 40 relative to the insert 60. For example, the shoulder 46a is movable in translation between the shoulder 66a and the body d 'insert 62.
The insert 60 can be assembled to the base 30, on the side of the body 10. For example, the assembly can be carried out by fitting slots 67 of the insert 60 into corresponding elements of the base 30.
The cover 60 further comprises a cover 68. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the cover 68 can come into contact with the base 30. The cover 68 can be fixed to the base 30 by means of a fixing element, for example a latching arm 68a cooperating with a fixing lumen 39 of the base 30. The free surface of the cover 68, that is to say the lower surface in FIG. 1, will be seen by the user of the pot 100 when the pot 100 is open, that is to say when the cover 20 is remote from the body 10. This surface may include ornamental elements.
The cover 20 further comprises a seal 69 having a shape of the hollow torus type. The seal 69 comprises a slot 69a allowing it to be mounted on the rail 64 of the insert 60. In this embodiment, the slot 69a runs through the seal 69 over its entire length. Once mounted, insofar as the shape of the seal 69 corresponds to that of the opening 11b, the seal 69 performs the sealing of the closure operated by the cover 18, as can be seen in FIG. 1.
The seal 69 is configured to perform an axial seal, that is to say a seal along the axis X of the cover 20. In other words, the seal 69 performs a seal along a surface normal to the axis X of cover 20.
In addition, the seal 69 can be configured to provide a seal in its direction of compression, that is to say a seal on a surface normal to its direction of compression. In the example of Figure 1, the seal 69 can be compressed axially, here by axial movement of the insert 60, and then performs an axial seal, here on the cover 18 and the flange 11a.
As indicated previously, the cover 20 also comprises a closing tab 70. The closing tab 70 comprises a pivot 72 configured to be received in a corresponding orifice 31 of the base 30. Thus, the closing tab 70 is in rotation, around the pivot 72, relative to the base 30. In the present embodiment, the pivot 72 is perpendicular to the axis of the cover X. The pivot 72 is, in this example, placed at one end of the closure tab 70.
The closure tab 70 comprises, at its end opposite to the pivot 72, a hook 74. The hook 74 designates any shape capable of engaging with a corresponding engagement element 14e, provided in this case in the wafer 14. The hook 74 is provided on the side of the closing tab 70 closest to the body 10, while the pivot 72 is provided on the side of the closing tab 70 furthest from the body 10, ie here closest to the push button 40 .
The closure tab 70 further comprises a lug 76, projecting radially with respect to the axis of the cover X, in the direction of the locking tab 42. The lug 76 comprises a beveled surface facing the locking tab 42 and to the support wall 41a.
The cover 20 is also provided with return means configured to return the closure tab 70 to the released position, that is to say, as indicated previously, in a position in which the closure tab 70 does not cooperate with the element 14th engagement. In the present embodiment, the return means comprise a spring 78. The spring 78 is mounted in torsion between the base 30 and the closing tab 70 so as to pivot the closing tab 70 away from it. engagement element 14e.
Alternatively or in addition, the return means could comprise a magnet, or even a weight intended to tilt the closing tab by gravity when the pot 100 is in its normal position of use.
The operation of the pot 100 will now be detailed with reference to Figures 1, 4 and 5.
In Figure 1 is illustrated a state in which the pot 100 is in the closed position: the cover 20 closes the opening 11b, independently of the cover 18. The closing tab 70 is in an engaged position in which the tab closure 70 cooperates with the engagement element 14e and thus maintains the cover 20 in the closed position. Furthermore, the locking tab 42 is in a locked position in which the locking tab 42 blocks the closing tab 70 in the engaged position. Indeed, as can be seen in Figure 1, any rotation of the closure tab 70 around its pivot 72 is impossible because the lug 76 is in abutment against the locking tab 42. Thus, the pot 100 is securely closed.
In this embodiment, the push button 40 acts as an actuator configured to move the locking tab 42 between the locked position and the unlocked position.
When a user wishes to unlock the pot 100, he activates the actuator, here by pressing on the support wall 41a of the push button 40. The user exerts an axial pressure along the axis of the cover X. Before pressing , the cam arms 38 are in the first stable position 38a indicated in FIG. 4. By pressing the push button 40, countering the return effect of the spring 54, the cam arms 38 follow the heart path 48 in the direction arrows in FIG. 4 and reach the second stable position 38b. The push button 40 is then in the position shown in FIG. 5.
As illustrated in FIG. 5, pressing the push button 40 allows translation of the push button 40 along the axis of the cover X, away from the body 10. The push button 40 is therefore distant from the body 10 by the spring 54, until it is retained by the heart path cam.
The locking tab 42, which is secured in translation with the push button 40, also moves away from the body 10. In doing so, it is no longer in contact with the lug 76 nor, more generally, with the closure tab. 70. The locking tab 42 is therefore in an unlocked position, in which the closing tab 70 is movable between the engaged position and the released position. Being recalled by the spring 78, the closing tab 70 pivots and passes from the engaged position to the disengaged position shown in FIG. 5. In this position, the closing tab 70 does not cooperate with the engagement element 14e and the user is free to open the pot 100. In this case, the opening of the pot 100 is assisted, if not automatic, due to the presence of the spring 16 which tends to cause the cover 20 leaves its closed position.
As illustrated in FIG. 5, the base 30 comprises a stop piece 37 provided so that when the closing tab 70 is in the released position, the closing tab 70 abuts against the stop piece 37. The piece stop 37 therefore defines, with the engagement element 14e, the rotational travel of the closing tab 70. The stop piece 37 limits the rotation of the closing tab 70 so that its passage from the released position in the engaged position can be easily driven by the locking tab 42, as will now be described.
To close and lock the pot 100, the user can place the cover 20 in the closed position, then press the push button 40 serving as an actuator. In doing so, the cam arms 38 pass from the second stable position 38b to the first stable position 38a in the direction of the arrows indicated in FIG. 4. When the push button 40 is pressed, the locking tab 42 is moved towards the body
10. The locking tab 42 cooperates, in this movement, with the lug 76 and tends to replace the closing tab 70 in the engaged position, countering the effect of the spring 78. When the first stable position 38a is again reached , the situation is again that shown in FIG. 1: position for closing the cover 20, engaged position of the closing tab 70 and locked position of the locking tab 42.
Figures 6 to 10 show the pot in another embodiment. In these figures, the elements corresponding or identical to those of the first embodiment will receive the same reference sign, to the digit of hundreds, and will not be described again.
FIG. 6 illustrates a second embodiment of a pot 200. This embodiment essentially differs from the first by the cooperation of the base 130, the push button 140 and the insert 160. In place of the first and second elements of slides 46, 66, the push button 140 and the insert 160 respectively comprise first and second latching elements 146, 166 which are mounted fixed relative to each other. Thus, in this embodiment, the insert 160 is integral in translation, in particular along the axis X of the cover, of the push button 140.
Furthermore, as can be seen in FIG. 7, of which FIG. 6 is a sectional view along the plane VI-VI, as well as in the perspective view of FIG. 10, the heart paths 148 are no longer provided on the push button 140 but on the insert 160. The cam arms 138 are always provided on the base 130, but at the periphery of the base 130, outside the skirt 135.
By pressing the push button 140, the cam arms 138 pass from the first stable position 138a to the second stable position 138b, thereby passing the locking tab 142 into the disengaged position shown in FIG. 8. FIG. 8 is a seen in a plane similar to that of FIG. 6. The closing tab 170 is in the released position. In addition, the insert 160 has moved away from the body 110, thus releasing the seal 169 from the opening 111b and, if necessary, from the cover 118.
FIG. 9 illustrates in perspective the push button 140 according to the second embodiment. In addition to the characteristics already described, it is noted that the locking tab 142 has, at its junction with the sliding wall 141b, a radial offset 141c. This offset 141c aims to compensate for the radial projection towards the inside of the ring 150 (see FIG. 8). As illustrated in FIG. 6, in the locked position of the locking tab, the support wall 141a of the push button 140 is level with the radial projection of the ring 150 which is adjacent to it.
As shown in FIG. 10, the insert 160 is very similar to the insert 60 of the first embodiment, except for the present of the heart paths 148. Furthermore, being movable relative to the base 130, the insert 160 does not does not include an element corresponding to slots 67.
FIG. 11 illustrates in perspective the base 130. In this figure, the orifice 131 intended to receive the pivot of the closure tab 170 is particularly visible. Near the orifice 131 is provided a notch 131a configured to serve as a support for the spring 78. A similar notch can be provided in the first embodiment (see FIG. 3).
As shown in Figures 6 and 8, the pot 200 does not include a cover similar to the cover 68. The surface of the base 130 which faces the body 110 is a solid surface and can be adorned in itself.
In addition, the base 130 does not include guides similar to the guides 34. Likewise, the push button 140 does not include guides similar to the guides 44. Insofar as the cam arms 138 are provided outside the skirt 135 and are diametrically opposite, they are sufficiently spaced to offer sufficient guidance of the push button 140 and of the insert 160 relative to the base.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to specific exemplary embodiments, modifications can be made to these examples without departing from the general scope of the invention as defined by the claims. In particular, individual features of the various illustrated / mentioned embodiments can be combined in additional embodiments. Therefore, the description and the drawings should be considered in an illustrative rather than restrictive sense.
